What this site collects
Almost nothing. This page says exactly what, so you don’t have to take that on trust.
Who is responsible
Me: Mehran Moazzami, trading as Alvand Asha. For anything on this page, write to mehran@moazzami.me.
The contact form
What: the name, email address, company (if you give one) and message you type. Why: so I can answer the enquiry you sent. Legal basis: taking the steps you asked for before any agreement, and my legitimate interest in answering business enquiries (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR).
Your message is stored privately on this site, where only I can read it, and a copy is emailed to my inbox. Nothing goes to a mailing list, a CRM or an autoresponder. Stored messages are deleted automatically twelve months after they arrive.
Email you send me
If you write to mehran@moazzami.me directly, I receive your address and whatever you write, and use them only to reply. Same reason and legal basis as the form (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). I keep the conversation while it is useful and delete it when you ask.
Spam protection
To stop automated submissions, the form counts recent messages from each network address for one hour. It counts a one-way scrambled form of the address, never the address itself, keeps that count apart from your message, and discards it after the hour. Legal basis: my legitimate interest in keeping the form usable (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Your animations setting
The Animations switch at the bottom of every page remembers whether you turned animations on or off, in your own browser’s local storage. It is stored only if you use the switch, it never leaves your device, and I never see it. Clearing this site’s data in your browser removes it.
Server logs and backups
When you load a page, the hosting provider’s web server records technical details of the request: your IP address, the time, the page asked for and your browser’s identification. They are needed to deliver the site and keep it secure (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). I don’t use them for anything. They are archived month by month, and how long they are kept follows the provider’s own schedule.
I don’t make separate backups of the site. The hosting provider may keep its own backups of the server, which would include stored messages until those backups are replaced on the provider’s schedule.
Who receives it
The hosting provider in Germany that runs this site, which processes it on my behalf. That includes the email copy of your message: it is delivered to a mailbox on this site’s own mail server, with the same provider. If I switch on phone notifications, Telegram receives only a notice that a message has arrived and a link that only I can open. It never receives your name, your email address, your message or anything else you send.
Nobody else. There are no analytics, no advertising, no tracking pixels and no third-party embeds, and every font and image is served from this domain, so loading a page here doesn’t tell anyone else that you did.
Leaving the EU
None of your personal data leaves the EU. The site, its stored messages and the mailbox that receives the email copy are all with the hosting provider in Germany, and the Telegram notice contains none of your data.
How long it is kept
Form messages stored on the site: twelve months, then deleted automatically. Email: until the conversation is over, or sooner if you ask. The spam-protection count: one hour. Your animations setting: until you clear it. Server logs and any backups: on the hosting provider’s schedule.
Your rights
You can ask me for a copy of what I hold about you, ask me to correct it, delete it or limit what I do with it, object to how I use it, and receive it in a format you can take elsewhere (Art. 15 to 21 GDPR). Where anything rests on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Write to mehran@moazzami.me and I’ll answer myself, and tell you when it’s done.
You also have the right to complain to a data-protection supervisory authority, for example the one where you live or work, or in Germany (Art. 77 GDPR).
Cookies and decisions
This site sets no cookies for visitors, which is why you weren’t asked about them. The only thing it can store in your browser is the animations setting above. Nothing here makes automated decisions about you or builds a profile of you.
When this changes
The most likely change is analytics: if I add page counting, it will be a cookieless service and this page will say so before it goes live. Last updated 7 October 2026.
