A drawer organiser you design in five steps
Problem
The client sells modular drawer storage, which only works as a system. Buyers had to work out the grid, the fit and the price themselves, and custom printed bins meant a back-and-forth quote.
Constraint
Persian-first and right-to-left, for low-end phones on Iranian connections. No requests to foreign servers, and payment through Iranian providers only.
What I built
A five-step configurator that runs in the browser. Enter the drawer size and it solves the grid and the gaps at each edge; pick a baseplate; bins are suggested to fill the grid; paint each bin a colour; see the price, weight and print time at once; then add it to the cart. Behind it, an online shop for the client, being built around one central price list.
Measured
- 83 automated tests passing: 55 on the layout engine, 28 on the configurator itself
- Drawers from 42 to 1500 mm
- Zero requests to foreign servers, checked on the live prototype
Status
Configurator prototype live; online shop in build for the client.
